#1. AeroMobil 3.0
A combination of the two words “aviation” and “automobile”, the AeroMobil 3.0 prototype was unveiled at the “Pioneers Festival”, a conference on technology and entrepreneurship in Vienna, Austria. According to its designer Stefan Klein, it took him only 10 months to design and develop this awesome car. The AeroMobil 3.0 is a car that can turn itself into a plane in just two minutes, you only have to push the button to to spread its wings. When used as a car, the prototype has no trouble driving on conventional roads. The craft can reach a top speed of 160 km/h on land and 200 km/h in the air. However, to take off the road, you will need a 250m of road or free track in front of you. For landing, only 50 meters will be sufficient. Compact, it is very easy to park it in a shed or in your garage. In addition, the vehicle runs on gasoline and not kerosene so it can be fueled at any regular service station. The autonomy is 875 km on the highway, or 700 km in the air, which is equivalent to a 4 hours flight. The co-founder Juraj Vaculík has already said that the flying car could become a regular means of transport for travelers making “short and medium distances.”
#2. PAL-V Flying Car
Bringing PAL-V‘s dream of a flying car to life isn’t just an engineering challenge, it’s also a compliance challenge – ensuring regulators grant it permission to both drive on the road and take to the sky. Founded in 2008 and headquartered in the Netherlands, the idea for PAL-V (Personal Air and Land Vehicle) was born in 1999 when one of the co-founders began flying.
After building a test vehicle in 2020, PAL-V will commence production of around 90 PAL-V Liberty Pioneer editions in 2022.

The rotor design enables the vehicle to experience less turbulence than a fixed-wing aircraft. The automated mast of the flying car unfurls during the flight mode, while the cockpit is designed to switch between flight and drive modes. The rotor blades mounted on top of the car will be unfolded when switching to the flight mode. The tail can be retracted after landing and the propeller and rotor blades can be folded onto the top of the car.
Engines and performance
The flying car is powered by two Rotax engines, which develop a maximum power of 200hp each. The power-plant enables the vehicle to reach a speed of up to 100km/h within nine seconds. PAL-V Liberty burns Euro 95, Euro 98, E10 fuels and has a maximum fuel capacity of 100l. The fuel economy of the car in flight and drive modes is 26l/h and 7.6l/100km respectively. The vehicle can run at a maximum speed of 160km/h on road and attain a maximum air speed of 180km/h. It requires a take-off distance of 330m and a landing distance of 30m. The maximum operating altitude of the flying car is 3,500m and the maximum take-off weight (MTOW) is 910kg. The vehicle has an endurance of 4.3 hours and can fly up to a range of 500km.
